Abstract

This research is about language and learning medua that focused on The Implementation of Online English Learning at the Eighth Grade Students of SMP Dharma Lestari Salatiga in The Academic Year 2019/2020 on the English teachers’ experience in implementing online English learning process. The subjects were three English teachers of SMP Dharma Lestari Salatiga. This study aims to find out the implementation of online English learning at the eighth grade students of SMP Dharma Lestari Salatiga in the academic year 2019/2020, to find out the difficulties in the process of online English learning at the eighth grade students of SMP Dharma Lestari Salatiga in the academic year 2019/2020, and to find out the strategies in the process of online English learning at the eighth grade students of SMP Dharma Lestari Salatiga in the academic year 2019/2020 by using qualitative research. Data collected through questionnaire and interview. This research found that online learning can be used as an effective learning media in pandemic because in pandemic, students and teachers are not allowed to face to face but the learning can be done as much as possible. In implementing online learning also has difficulties such as; participants knowledge of online learning, the need of supporting online learning tools, monitoring students, getting direct feedback, and teachers’ difficulties in conveying learning material optimally. In this study, also found the strategies to solve the problems such as; giving socialization, giving subsidy to the students, giving assignment to monitor the students, and making support media.
