Abstract

This research purposes to analyze the structural form in the Cocomelon-Nursery Rhyme Kid’s Song Lyrics. Descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative research is used in this study. The subjects were thirteen Cocomelon-Nursery Rhyme Kid’s Song Lyrics. Data are collected through Observation, analysis, and documentation. In this case, the aims of this study are: (1) To find out the forms of song lyrics used in the Cocomelon-Nursery Rhymes kid’s song, (2) To find out the most often structural form used in Cocomelon-Nursery Rhymes kid's song. This research found that the structural forms in the thirteen Cocomelon-Nursery Rhyme Kid’s Song Lyrics are phrases and sentences. The number of sentence (67%) is higher than phrases (33%). The findings showed that in kids’ song lyric have to use sentence which is simple, so the kids are easily to understand and remember the lyrics.
