Abstract

STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION AND MOTIVATION IN ENGLISH ONLINE LEARNING THROUGH ZOOM APPS(A Descriptive Qualitative Study at The Twelfth Grade Students of SMA Kartika III-I Banyubiru in Academic Year 2020/2021). A Graduating Paper. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. English Education Department. State Institute for Islamic Studies Salatiga. Counselor: Noor Malihah,M.Hum., Ph.D. This research aims to find out how the students’ perceptions are in English online learning through Zoom Apps and how the students’ motivation are in English online learning through Zoom Apps. The data was collected through questionnaires and interviews. Fifteenth students of twelfth-grade students of SMA Kartika III-I Banyubiru participated in this research. Since this research explores the students' perception and motivation in English online learning though zoom app which come from the students' experiences, a qualitative approach is considered as an appropriate approach and descriptive as a type of research. The results of this study are presented descriptively to reveal students' perceptions and motivation comprehensively. The results of this study show that English online learning through Zoom Apps has some advantages and disadvantages. It is also found regarding the high students’ motivation by using some indicator that used in this research. Key Words: Motivation, Online Learning, Perception, Zoom Apps.
