Abstract

Umami, Naashikhatul. 2021. An Analysis of Morphological and Morphophonemics Process of Alay Variation in the Comments of Boy William Instagram Account . A Graduating Paper submitted to the board of examiners as a partial fulfillment of the requirements for the bachelor degree of Sarjana Pendidikan (S.Pd). State Institute For Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Miftachudin,M.A. This study aimed at answering the following research questions: (1) How is the morphological process of Alay variation in the comments of Boy William Instagram account? (2) How is the morphophonemic process of Alay variation in the comments of Boy William Instagram account?. The methodology of this research is qualitative research. Data is collected through documentation. The population of this study are the followers’ comments in Boy William Instagram account. From fifty Alay utterance of Boy William Instagram account, that found percentage Utterance Indonesia Mix English 42%, Percentage Utterance in Indonesia 50%, and Percentage Utterance in English 8%. The research finds 2 types in morphological process namely affixation and non-affixation. Affixation occurs in the form of internal change (1 utteranceor 2%), infixation (10 utteranceor 20%), core of vowel change (4 utterance or 8%). Meanwhile, non-affixation occurs in the form of coinage (5 utterance or 10%), borrowing (1 utterance or 2%), clipping (2 utterance or 4%), acronyms (26 utterance or 52%), reduplication (1 utterance or 2%). In terms of mophophonemic process, it occurs in all with the percentage and the researcher also found the Percentage Utterance Indonesia Mix English 16%, Percentage Utterance in Indonesia 78%, and Percentage Utterance in English 6%.
