Abstract
ABSTRACT Darmawan, Rizaldi. 2021.An Analysis of Students’ Perceptions towardThe Implementation of Picture Word Inductive Model at The Seventh Grade of SMP Plus DaarulAhgaffPoncol. The objectives of the research are; (1) To describe students' perceptions on the implementation of Picture Word Inductive Model at Seventh Grade of SMP Plus Daarul Ahgaff Poncol. (2) To describe the benefits experienced by students in implementation Picture Word Inductive Model. The participants of this research were 14 students. The methodology of this research was descriptive qualitative. The technique of data collection which used in this research was observation, documentation and questionnaire. The result of this research showed that students have some perceptions toward the implementation of PWIM in writing descriptive text class. The perceptions are: (1) PWIM is an amusing and interesting learning. (2) Students agree if their lesson using PWIM in the descriptive text class. (3) The implementation of PWIM in English teaching process is appropriate. (4) Students responded well about the implementation of PWIM in Writing Descriptive text class. Finally, the students also stated that there are some benefits experienced from the implementation of PWIM which are: (1) PWIM helps students to open their imagination in writing descriptive text (2) PWIM improve students’ vocabulary. (3) PWIM Improving student’s knowledge about kind of words. Keywords: Perceptions and PWIM; Qualitative research
