Abstract

The Analysis of Students' Errors in Translating Recount Text From English to Indonesian at The Eighth Grade Students of Mts Nuril Huda Losari Academic Year 2020/2021. A Graduating Paper. Keywords : Students’ Errors , Translating, Recount Text The purpose of this study is to find out the kinds of errors and to find out the causes of making error made by the eighth grade students of Mts Nuril Huda Losari in the academic year of 2020/2021 in translating 2021 in translating recount text from English to Indonesian . This research‘s participants were the eighth grade students class A contained of 15 students. To collect their data, the researcher used qualitative research because the research methods are test , interview , and documentations which is done through Google Form. The errors include Ommission, Addition, Misformation, and Misordering . From the analysis results , found 105 errors consisting of 15 Ommission , 8 Addittion , 70 Misformation , and 12 Misordering .The cause of students making errors is interlingual errors which showed general characteristics of generalization learning rules, applying the wrong rules and failing to learn the applicable rules . Many students apply the wrong rules and their knowledge of English is still lacking .
