Abstract

Winarsih. 2021. Students’ Perception on the Use of E-LEARNING Media in English Classrooms (A Case Study in The Ninth Grade Students’ of Smp Negeri 2 Suruh in the Academic Year 2020/2021). A Graduating paper submitted to the board of examiners as partial fulfillment of the requirements for the bachelor degree of Sarjana Pendidikan (S.Pd). State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Counselor. Miftachudin, M.A. This study aimed at answering the following research questions: (1) What is the students' perception toward the implementation of e-learning in the English classrooms of the ninth-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Suruh in the academic year 2020/2021? (2) What types of e-learning media are used in the English classrooms of the ninth-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Suruh in the academic year 2020/2021? The methodology of this research is qualitative descriptive research. The data was collected through interviews and questionnaires. The population of this study is the students of Ninth Grade Smp Negeri 2 Suruh. Based on the interview and questionnaire this study indicates that the ninth-grade students of SMP N 2 Suruh strongly support the implementation of e-learning. Then the types of media used are synchronous and asynchronous media in the form of audio conferencing, video conferencing, application sharing, application chat, virtual whiteboarding, documents library, website links, e-books, e-mail, and audio/video streaming.
