(2021). “STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION TOWARD ENGLISH E-LEARNING USING SCHOOLOGY APPLICATION DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC (QUALITATIVE DESCRPIPTIVE STUDY AT THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF MAN PURWOREJO)”. Graduating Paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. State Institute for Islamic Studies. Counselor: Muhamad Hasbi, M.A. The purposes of this study were to find out about the students’ perception toward English e-learning using Schoology application during the pandemic era, and also to find out about students’ benefits and students’ challenges when learning English using Schoology application. The research was qualitative descriptive research. The data was collected through questionnaire (open-ended and close-ended). The subjects were students tenth grade of IBB class/ Ilmu Bahasa dan Budaya (Linguistics and Cultural Knowledge) as many as 28 respondents. The result of this research was presented descriptively 2 is analyzed and interpreted through qualitative procedure. The findings of the result indicate that students’ perception toward English e-learning using Schoology is generally positive, where most of students feel helped by the existence of Schoology as alternative medium of learning English online because e-learning become simpler, it helps them in doing assignments effectively and efficiently, and they can discuss their learning materials enjoyably without having to meet face to face in person. On the other hand, the challenges of using Schoology as an online learning media are that most of students think that it spends a lot of internet quota, bad network signal, and also access error when logging in to Schoology.
