Abstract

ABSTRACT Khotimah, Kusnul. 2021. “An Analysis Of Students’ Perceptions On The Use Of Instaclass In Cross Cultural Understanding Learning ( A study on the six semester students of IAIN Salatiga)”. A Graduating Paper Final Graduating Paper of English and Education Department State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Hammam, M.Pd., Ph.D. Keywords: Perception, Instagram, Cross Cultural Understanding, Learning Challenges The objectives of the research are (1) to know students’ perceptions on the use of instaclass in cross cultural understanding. (2) to know the challenges of using instaclass in cross cultural understanding. This research methodology is qualitative research. This study uses research data collection techniques in the following ways: observation method, interview method and documentation. From the results of an analysis of students’ perceptions on the use of instaclass in Cross Cultural Understanding as a learning medium is very interesting, as an active user of Instagram it makes learning activities more interesting so that it increases the attractiveness. Instaclass is a new medium for study online and easier to understand by using different learning media than others and can used others course. I take the conclutions because respondent also the first time using instaclass media in during learning, because usually using media like WhatApps, Youtube, etc. Behind the attractiveness of instaclass there are also challenges and obstacles for students when limited time and an unstable internet connection becomes a challenge also obstacle for students to move more quickly and actively in learning to answer quizzes or ask questions related to the material presented.
