Abstract

ABSTRACT Eadyeesa-I, Mariam. 2022.“The Problems related to Self Confidence in English Speaking Faced by the Eight Grades Students of Azizstan Foundation School in the Academic Year 2021-2022” A Graduating Paper.English Education Department. Teachers Training and Education Faculty State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Hammam, M. Pd., Ph.D. This research is aimed to describe The Problems related to Self Confidence in English Speaking Faced by the Eighth grade students of Azizstan foundation school and the solutions. This study applies data analysis using qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used by researcher are by conducting interviews and documentation. The subject of this research are 35 students from The Eighth grades M. 2/1 and three English teacher of Azizstan foundation school. The result of the research that have been carried out for speaking English that problem of Thai students grade 8 No. 2/1 from 35 persons of Azizstan foundations School, It can be concluded that students have the problems with speaking English because most students grade 8 No. 2/1 from 35 persons Do not like English and fear to communicated with other people Especially, for foreigner and same nationality fear of a mistake and also lack of practice to communicate in English because they shy and being teased by a friend make us do not have confidence when speaking English in front of others peoples. The solution is that student should have more confidence when their speaking in English and also teacher Teachers must constantly train students to speak English for fluency. When students practice regularly will give students the courage to express themselves and more confidence. Keywords: The Self Confidence Problems, English Speaking
