Abstract
Inayatul Maula. 2022. A Comparative Study of English Learning Achievement of the Eighth Grade of Regular Classes and Special Program (PK) Classes at MTs N 1 Boyolali in The Academic Year of 2021/2022. A Graduating Paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. State Institute for Islamic Studies Salatiga. Counselor: Marisa Fran Lina, M.Pd. The provision of special class programs at MTs Negeri 1 Boyolali is interesting for some people. This program offers learning activities that are superior to the regular classroom programs in various schools. Several things cause the learning achievement between regular and special class students to be different. One is the English subject that was studied in this research. This study aims to determine whether there is a difference in English learning achievement between the eighth-grade students of regular and special classes MTs Negeri 1 Boyolali in the odd semester and academic year of 2021/2022. This research is descriptive quantitative research. The data collection techniques were carried out by collecting some information through documentation and interviews. To answer the problem statements, the researcher uses the independent t-test analysis technique with the normality and homogeneity test as a prerequisite test. The data analysis was carried out by using SPSS version 26. The analysis of the data obtained showed that there is a difference in English learning achievement between regular and special class students. Based on the data analysis, the researcher found that tresult of the independent t-test shows a significance value of 0.000, which is lower than = 0.05, indicating a difference in English learning achievement between regular and special class students. Thus, this research is expected to contribute to the school, teachers, and regular class students to improve their English learning achievement so that it is not much different from the English learning achievement of special class students.
