An Analysis Of Lecturer And Students' Perception On The Use Of English Podcast In Improving Students' Listening Skill (A Study at the English Education Department Students of IAIN Salatiga in the Academic Year 2020/2021). Counselor: Sari Famularsih, S.Pd., M.A. The purpose of the research is to know the lecturer and students’ comprehension and perception on the use of English podcast, and how English podcast improving students’ listening skill. This research generally answered 3 questions: (1) What are the lecturer and students’ perception on the use of English Podcast in improving students’ listening skill. (2). How do English Podcast improving students' listening skill. The methodology of the research were qualitative research. The techniques of collecting data were interview and documentation. The interview consists of 24 respondents, 1 lecturer and 23 of at the English Education Department of IAIN Salatiga. The interview was used to find out the lecturer and students’ perception, and to find out how English podcast improving students’ listening skill. Documentation is done to obtain information about respondent data and also lesson plans used in listening learning. Lecturer give the perception that English podcast is interesting and a source of authentic spoken text. Most of the students gave the perception that English podcast is very interesting and can improve their listening skill. There are several strategies used by lecturer in using English podcast in improving students' listening skills, they are students are more focused, understand the ideas and point of view, critically examine, and catch the keywords conveyed by the speaker.
