Abstract

Wachid, Nur. 2022. Students‟ Strategies in Responding the Transition Phase from Distance Learning to Face-to-Face Learning during the Post Covid19 Pandemic. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Educational Faculty. State Institute for Islamic Studies of Salatiga. Counselor: Dr. Sa‟adi, M. ag. The objectives of this research are to identify about how the students responded to the transition phase from distance learning to face-to-face learning during the post covid-19 pandemic, what differences of their learning strategies in this transition phase, and how this transition phase affecting their learning experience. This research used qualitative method that conducted in connection with the phenomenon of transition phase from distance learning to face-to-face learning due to the subside of the covid-19 cases. The subject in this research are 23 English Education Department students at the 5th and 7th semester of State Islamic University of Salatiga. The data that used in this research collected through structured interviews. This research found that the the students had different responses toward the transition phase from distance learning to face-to-face learning during the post covid-19 pandemic and they have to adapt their self to the new environment. They stated that their learning strategies were not much different, but still they had their own learning strategies in facing the transition phase. As the final point, the majority of the students revealed that the transition phase have positive impacts for their learning experience while there are still some students got some trouble to adapt theirselves.
