Counselor: Muhamad Hasbi, M.A. The purposes of this research are (a) to find out kinds of online media platforms accessed by the students of English Department of IAIN Salatiga, (b) to know how the indicators of online reading frequency of the students of english Department of IAIN Salatiga, and (c) to find out factors that influence the online reading frequency of students of English Department of IAIN Salatiga. The respondents of the research were thirty from fifth and seventh semester students of English Education Department of State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. This research used qualitative research methods. Data was collected using questionnaire and interview. The findings state that students often accessed media platforms such as social media, news channels and English learning platforms to get more information widely and up to date also to help complete the assignments. The high frequency as many as 81.32% of students often access for reading English online media every day. The factors that influence students’ frequency in accessing online media are students’ awareness of the importance of getting updated information through online media, students’ awareness of the importance of improving English skill through online media, and students’ disinterest on accessing English online platforms due to language barriers.
