Abstract

The aims of this research are to describe the research questions; the students’ perception of English learning using Zoom Cloud Meeting and students’ difficulties in English learning using Zoom Cloud Meeting. This study uses qualitative methods. The data collection techniques are interviewing 10 respondents from the fifth-semester English Education Department of UIN Salatiga. The results of this study indicate that learning by using zoom helps students and teachers to meet face-to-face virtually. Zoom has various features that support the learning process such as screen sharing, raising hand icons, chat comments, screen recording, etc. However, many students said that although Zoom has quite complete features, this application also has several shortcomings that become obstacles for students in learning activities. These include limited-time usage, and lags applications if the network or quota is insufficient. This makes the learning material not conveyed well so the students' understanding becomes incomplete.
