Abstract

This research aims to identify the students’ perceptions on the use of Instagram quiz through @bbclearningenglish account for learning grammar lesson, to describe the advantages of the use of Instagram quiz @bbclearningenglish account for learning grammar lessons, and to describe the students’ challenges faced on the use of Instagram quiz through @bbclearningenglish account for learning grammar lessons. The subjects were six sixth semester students of English Education Department of UIN SALATIGA. This research used qualitative method and focused on the case study design. Data were collected using observation, interview, and documentation and were analyzed qualitatively. This research found that Instagram quiz on @bbclearningenglish is interesting and it makes people who follow this account enjoy and feel attracted. It also helps them learn grammar easier. Learning grammar with Instagram quiz on @bbclearningenglish doesn’t need to use additional applications, but Instagram itself. They also said that from doing @bbclearningenglish Instagram quizzes, can be improving their grammar skills. From they didn’t understand about grammar until they more understand about it. There is many new knowledge that people found, like a new grammatical and vocabulary. The students’ challenges faced are they said that the quiz is not too hard but not too easy. The quiz is also hard to find when it uploads in Instagram feed but if the quiz upload on the Instagram story it will make easier people find with pin the Instagram story on highlights. It can conclude that the students have a positive perception on the use of Instagram quiz for learning grammar lesson.
