Abstract

This study aims to describe students' experiences in following blended learning methods in English lessons; To find out students’ perceptions, advantages and disadvantages of blended learning method during the Covid-19 pandemic in learning English. This study was a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection technique used by the researcher is by distributing questionnaires to 15 students. The subjects of this study were second semester students batch 2021 majoring in English education at IAIN Salatiga. The results of the research show that: First, students' perceived blended learning method during the Covid-19 pandemic positively. Judging from the student questionnaires, their agreement shows that they are happy, and enjoy the learning process when the teacher applied the blended learning method. They also said that the blended learning method in learning English was interesting. Second, students get many advantages of learning in blended learning methods during the Covid-19 pandemic, such as blended learning method was interesting. The students can get learning not only from teachers but also from many sources, blended learning method adds learned to the idea of creativity and new knowledge that has never been owned before, Students can better manage the schedule between study and organizations, Students are not tired and can understanding face to face learning applications, Students can do multitasking. However, in following blended learning methods in English lessons, there were disadvantages students got many assignments from lecturers.
