English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga.Counselor: Hanung Triyoko, S. S, M. Hum., M. Ed. This study aims to find out (1) The students’ vocabulary mastery in speaking class in the eleventh-grade students of smk n 2 Salatiga in the academic year of 2019/2020. (2) The level of students’ motivation level in learning English at eleventh-grade students of smk n 2 Salatiga in the academic year of 2019/2020. (3) The correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and learning motivation. This study was conducted in SMKN 2 Salatiga.The participants were thirty-four students of the eleventh-grade students of SMK N 2 Salatiga in the academic year of 2019/2020. The researcher used a test, and questionnaire to collect the data. Based on the data result, it shows that students’ vocabulary mastery and learning motivation are related.Students in the eleventh grade at SMK N 2 Salatiga have a high level of vocabulary mastery with score average 66,1. While the lowest score is 54 and the highest is 80. Then, students’ learning motivation is on good level with the lowest score 40 and the highest is 90. Besides, the correlation coefficient of vocabulary mastery (X) toward learning motivation (Y) is 45.56%. It means that 45.56% of learning motivation is influenced by vocabulary mastery, while the other 54,44% is contributed by other factors. Keywords: Vocabulary, Students’ Motivation, Mastery.
