Counselor: Noor Malihah, M.Hum., Ph.D Anxiety is one of the most complicated issues for students while speaking a foreign language. Many scholars have studied foreign language anxiety, which is one of the challenges in the field of language acquisition and instruction. This study aims to discovered signs of anxiety among the students during teaching practice in MAN 2 Kudus in the 11th grade Language Program at MAN 2 Kudus in the academic year 2021/2022. This study uses mixed method design, the population consisted of (N-35) 11th grade Bilingual Class System (BCS) students majoring in Language Programme at MAN 2 Kudus in the academic year 2021/2022. The results of this study discovered that 32.5% students struggle with communicative apprehension, 46.2% of the students struggle with anxiety in the forms of excessive worries, fear, and distracted thoughts during the english speaking lessons, and the average of 21.2% of the students has negative evaluation which affected the effectivity of learning and practicing English speaking. Besides the factors of English speaking anxiety, this study also determined the strategies used by the students of 11th grade at MAN 2 Kudus to reduce the English speaking anxiety through conducted interview Therefore, it is known despite the English speaking anxiety, the students employed strategies to reduce the anxiety in order to maintain their performance before, during, and after class.
