Abstract
The aims of this research are to find out the following research questions what are the code-mixing used, the kind of word level in code-mixing and the most frequently used kind of code-mixing produced by Beta fish breeder and customers while doing trading transaction. This study applied descriptive qualitative method. The techniques of collecting data was through the observation and documentation based on breeder and customers conversation of betta fish breeder and customers in WhatsApp chat, Facebook content, and Instagram content. The result of this study showed 41 data of code- mixing were found. This study found that the members produced some code-mixing, the researcher have found some code-mixing such as perpair, sanction, body, power, clean, shipping, seller, ngechat, mix, progress, free packing, trouble, drop, request, deal. The researcher also found six kinds of code-mixing based on the theory by Suwito (1983). There are six kinds (word level) of code mixing, they are word, phrase, hybrid, repetition, idiom, and clause. The researcher found 22 words, 7 idioms, 5 phrases, 5 hybrids, 2 repitition, and clause the researcher did not find any data. The dominant kind were found after calculating the data used the theory by Anas. The word kind has percentage 58% as the highest data, followed by idiom with the percentage 17%, 12% of phrases, 12% of hybrids, 6% of clause, and 0% of repetition. So can be presented that the prevailing sort of code-mixing in view of the rate is word. Keywords: Code-Mixing, Trading Activities word level.
