Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic situation has made schools a distance learning system. Various teacher creativity is carried out in order to achieve learning objectives. The purpose of this research (1) to find out the form of the teachers’ creativity in designing learning materials on learning English during the COVID-19 pandemic (2) to find out the types of learning materials used by teachers creatively on learning English during the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research uses qualitative research with qualitative descriptive methods. Data collection techniques in this study are interviews, questionnaire and documentation. The results of this study are (1) there are several forms of teacher creativity, including applying a sense of discipline by giving regular assignments, having broad insights such as following the development of the teaching profession, thinking periodically by training students in responding to videos and being sensitive to the environment by providing motivation at the beginning lesson (2) the type of learning materials used to design English learning materials include using factual material types, namely by combining materials with a pandemic theme, types of concept materials namely by conveying definitions first at the beginning of learning types of principle materials, namely by using theory, and the type of procedural material, namely the presentation of the material in the form of practice.
