Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of socialice or communication of Muslim female students with hijab in socializing through self-disclosure on the Satya Wacana Christian University campus. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Sources of data in this study were obtained based on the results of primary and secondary data, then described together with the results of the data obtained through the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study concluded that the form of verbal communication of Muslim female students with hijab was intertwined in two directions, namely verbal verbal communication and non-vocal verbal communication through linguistic understanding. Namely, the use of Indonesian in interacting and socializing daily in the campus environment and the use of the WhatApps media chat feature as an effort to build good communication in socializing within the SWCU campus environment. Along with the method of self-disclosure of Muslim female students who wear the hijab, they are intertwined with forms of socialization through campus organizational activities, the use of the hijab, which symbolizes the identity of Muslim women, and religious activities in the SWCU campus environment Keywords: Student, Muslim, Hijab, Outreach, Campus
