Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the implementation of infographic as a medium of teaching in writing class and to find out the barriers found by the English teacher in writing class of descriptive text using infographic at class VII MTs Salafiyah Mrisi, Grobogan in the second semester. This research was conducted at MTs Salafiyah Mrisi, Grobogan which is located in Mrisi Village, Tanggungharjo District, Grobogan Regency. The subject of this research is an English teacher. Methodology of this research is qualitative research. Data were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validity technique is the triangulation technique. Researcher found: The teacher used a type of static infographic, namely a two-dimensional image using visual media in the form of prints. The barriers found by the English teacher in learning to write descriptive text using infographics. These constraints are; The teacher must be extra in supervising the learning process of writing descriptive text using infographic media. Requires additional cost and time. Teacher still finds it difficult to arrange good words and students are right when writing descriptive text.
