Ecnoor, Okta Lusiana. 2022. Identifying Students’ Strategies to Complete English Writing Assignments During Covid-19 Pandemic (A Study of International Class Program of IAIN Salatiga Batch 2020). A Graduating Paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Miftachudin, M.A. This research is about students’ obstacles and students’ strategies in completing English writing assignments when online learning. The subjects were students of International Class Program (ICP) batch 2020 major in English. The objectives of this research were (1) to find out the students’ obstacles in completing English writing assignments during covid-19 pandemic, (2) to know the students’ strategies in completing English writing assignments during covid-19 pandemic. This research is qualitative research. Data collected through questionnaire and interview. This research found that students have various kinds of obstacles in English writing, so with these obstacles students must have learning strategies to overcome these obstacles. They state that they found the obstacles, such as linguistic issues, cognitive issues, content issues and writing mechanism. They also state that they have strategies in writing, such as the use of planning stage, the use of drafting stage, the use of revising stage and the use of editing stage. Students also said that having and implementing a study strategy can overcome the obstacles they face and make their writing process easier.
