Abstract

This study investigates if the implementation of the CTL method via the REACT technique improves students' motivation and success in grammar acquisition. This study used classroom action research, which was conducted across two cycles. Data is gathered by observation, rubric, test, questionnaire, and documentation. The researcher analyzes the data in three steps: students' motivation to learn is assessed using an observation sheet, each individual is assessed by filling out a self-assessment questionnaire, the progress of students' motivation and achievement is tracked using a rubric assessment tool, and statistical analysis using a t-test determines how significant the difference is. In addition, the researcher monitors the data using field notes and a questionnaire. To summarize, the results of the qualitative-quantitative study show that applying the CTL method, particularly project-based and cooperative learning, enhances students' motivation and achievement in learning language.
