Analysis of Linguistics and Non-Linguistics Factors Affecting Students' Reading Performance (A Descriptive Qualitative Study of the Eleventh Grade Students of SMK NU Roudlotul Furqon Banyubiru Semarang Regency in The Academic Year of 2022/2023). Counselor: Sari Famularsih, M.A. This study analyzed linguistics and non-linguistics factors affecting students' reading performance at SMK NU Roudlotul Furqon Banyubiru. This study was conducted to know the linguistics and non-linguistics factors that affect students’ reading performance and to know teacher strategies to make a balanced learning process related to those factors. This study used qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The participants of this study were teacher and students of SMK NU Roudlotul Furqon Banyubiru. This study used questionnaire, interview, and documentation techniques to collect the data. This study used triangulation method to validate the data. This study found that the linguistics factors that affect students’ reading performance are students’ grammar understanding, students’ vocabularies, students’ understanding about types of text, students’ frequency of using English, and students’ understanding about text and context. The non-linguistics factors that affect students’ reading performance are friends, teacher’s ways in teaching, school facilities, school curriculum, students’ ability to buy supporting books, students’ laziness level, students’ confidence level, and students’ prior knowledge. The teacher’s strategies that make a balanced learning process for students’ reading performance are remedial and enrichment strategies, private lesson strategy, and approach strategy to student interest.
