Abstract

Maimunah, U. (2022). The Implementation of Self-Regulated Learning to Learn English during Online Learning in English Education Department of UIN Salatiga. A Graduating Paper, English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, State Islamic University of Salatiga. Counselor: Mr. Miftachudin, M.A. The objective of this study is to find out students’ implementation of Self-Regulated Learning to learn English during online learning and to find the advantages of Self-Regulated Learning to learn English during online learning. The subjects of this study were 34 students of fifth semester of UIN Salatiga who experienced around two years with English online learning from their first semester.The research used questionnaire and interview to obtain the data. The researcher was used qualitative method to interpret and analyze the data. Therefore, to check the validity of the data, the researcher used triangulation method. Based on the research findings, the researcher concluded that most students implement the aspects of Self-Regulated Learning in their English online learning such as self-controlling their time to get better result in learning, set the learning goals, independently to evaluate themselves to increase their learning effort and seek a help when they find difficulties during online learning and Self-Regulated Learning has advantages that can help students to get better result in learning such as students can manage their learning time and divide their time to learn and to do other activities, students will do some effort to get high score and they can increase their expectation to success in learning.
