Counselor: Mr. Hammam, M.Pd., Ph.D. The aims of the research is to find out the speaking tutors’ perception on the use of tongue twisters as a warming-up activity in teaching full-day speaking program at Ella course. There are the objective of this study 1) to know tutors’ perceptions of using tongue twisters in teaching process, 2) to find out some obstacles that tutors face while using tongue twisters as a warming up method in teaching process, 3) to know benefits of tongue twisters in learning of speaking. This research applied qualitative approach and the data was collected by using interview and documentation. The research location is located at Ella Course, Kampung Inggris, Pare, Kediri. Tutors of full-day speaking program or class at Ella course as the respondents of this research. This research also uses the triangulation data as a validity of data. This research results are 1) the speaking tutors at Ella Course perceived that the tongue twisters as a warming-up activity is a technique that relevant to speaking skills, challenging, gain the self-confidence, and giving positive impact, 2) the tutors also faced obstacles, it is about the pronunciation of the new member who difficult to follow the tutors’ pronunciation and students’ confidence to speak-up. 3) the benefits of using tongue twister as warming-up activity in teaching speaking program are making students’ focus, creating comfortable environment, making better pronunciation of students, and gaining students’ confidence.
