Abstract

The objective of the research is : to find out if there is significant difference of youtube online medium for teaching procedure text between the student who attend and do not attend at X grade students of SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa, To find out the advantages and challenges that students perceived for teaching procedure text at X grade of SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa. The method used in the research was a quantitative method and the research design was a quasi-experimental. The sample of this research was at X grade student of SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa. The control class at X students of SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa which, consisted of 30 students who did not get the treatment by using youtube video or using teacher's presentation. For sampling technique the researcher used purposive sampling. The instrument used in this research was written test and the scoring of writinh rubric was used to score the students' writing on the pre and post test.
