Abstract

The objective of the research; (1) To find out the form of register used by employees in Dusun Wisata Semilir and (2) To find out the dimension of each register used by employees in Dusun Wisata Semilir (3) To find out the meaning and function of each register used by employees of Dusun Wisata Semilir. The method of this research is qualitative research, the author observes, collects, and identifies register data in Dusun Wisata Semilir employee. The technique of collecting data is observing, finding, identifying, classifying, and discuss the meaning. The subjects of this researchare employees at Dusun Wisata Semilir. Based on the analysis the the researcher found 3 forms of register, Words, Blends, and Abbreviations. There are consisting of 20 Words, 6 Blends, and 10 Abbreviations. The dimension of register used by empoyees in Dusun Wisata Semilir appears following the context of a specific situation which has several related aspects, namely field, tenor and mode. The researcher found many new registers were used by employees in Dusun Wisata Semilir such as Nyeyet is Quiet, Moles is Polish, Bedeng is canteen, FNB is Food and Beverage, TO is Taking Order, etc. The functions of register used by employees in Dusun Wisata Semilir is instrumental, Regulatory, Representational, Interactional,and Personal.
