Teachers Strategies In Arranging Learning English Materials Based On “Kurikulum Merdeka” At Smk N 1 Tengaran (A Descriptiive Qualitative Study At Smk N 1 Tengaran In The Academic Year 2022/2023) A Graduating Paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. State Institute for Islamic Studies Salatiga. Counselor: Dra. Widyastuti, M.Pd Kurikulum Merdeka is a new curriculum in the Indonesian education system. This study focused on the problems faced by English teachers and strategies in compiling grade 10 and 11 materials at SMK N 1 Tengaran related to the “Kurikulum Merdeka”. This research was a qualitative study with descriptive method because this method focuses on elaborating information in depth and exploring opinions,thoughts,and research questions to answer the research objectives. Data collection in this study used interviews and documentation. This study used triangulations tecniques. The results showed that “Kurikulum Merdeka” changed many components in English subjects, where students became the learning centre and theachers only became fasilitators. The curriculum changed K1 (Core Competencies),KD ( Basic Competencies), achievement indicators,learning objectives and RPP (Learning Implementation Plan), to CP (Learning Outcomes) ,ATP (Learning Objective Reference),and teaching modules. Teaching was conducted using Project Based Learning. Each teacher has a strategy to achive learning objectives and must attract students‟ interest so that it is easy to understand.
