The aims of this research are: (1) To know how the use of small group discussion methods can improve students' reading comprehension for the eleventh-grade student of SMK Bhakti Nusantara Salatiga, (2) To find how the improvement of students' reading comprehension by using small group discussion methods on narrative text for the eleventh-grade students of SMK Bhakti Nusantara Salatiga. This research was a Classroom Action Research. The subject of the research was 28 students of eleventh-grade year students of SMK Bhakti Nusantara Salatiga. It was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The use of small group discussion method can improve students' reading comprehension. Several data, such as Observation results, show that students are enthusiastic and actively participate in learning. The research results showed an improvement in students' reading comprehension by using "Small Group Discussion" methods. It can be seen from the calculation of results in cycle I with an average of 84 and cycle II with an average of 93. There was also an improvement in the percentage of students' average scores from cycle I to cycle II, with the standard or target passing grade being 85; in cycle I, it was 36%, and in cycle II, it was 100%. The percentage improvement in score from cycle I to cycle II was 64%. It shows that students' reading comprehension can be improved by using the "Small Group Discussion" method.
