Abstract

The objectives of this study are to find out how the implementation of monopoly games and how significant the use of monopoly games to help students to enrich and mastering vocabulary on recount text at second grade of SMP Muhammadiyah Plus Salatiga in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research was designed as a classroom action research. This research is aimed at second-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Plus Salatiga in the 2022/2023 academic year, consisting of 21 students. This research was conducted in May 2023. The researcher finds that the application of the monopoly game in vocabulary mastery which increases students' vocabulary mastery, the test results show that 86% of students have passed the test. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the monopoly game is effective for increasing students' vocabulary mastery in recount text.
