Abstract
This research analyzed students' self-regulated learning strategies in English class. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The research was conducted at SMP N 10 Salatiga. 28 students and one teacher participated in this study. Data were collected using observation and interviews to determine their self-regulated learning strategy in English class. The study results found that students with self-confidence, active learning, discipline, and responsibility in learning could improve the quality of their learning, especially in English class. The researcher also found out that the dominant aspect of students' self-regulated learning in English class at the ninth-grade students of SMP N 10 Salatiga was discipline and responsibility in learning; it can be a good start in students' self-regulated learning strategies because several other students also already have self-confident and active in learning English. Meanwhile, the triggering factors of self-regulated learning are three factors: individual factors, behavioural factors, and environmental factors. The students' interest, support from parents, teacher motivation, and supportive environment greatly influence the success of students' self-regulated learning strategy in English class. Key Word: Self-Regulated, Learning English.
