Abstract

This study was conducted to describe the implementation of the English Daily Conversations Program over time and the difficulties associated with problem solving. This research applied a qualitative descriptive method. The study was accomplished at the Communicative English Club. The respondents to the research were committees of a community, consisting of 5 females and 5 males. Data was collected through interviews with administrators. The results of the study revealed that the application of the course was unstable and declining, as well as that the activities carried out were in the form of activities that could supply the English skills of the individuals involved. The challenges found are divided into three main aspects, including motivation, accent, and knowledge, and come with related solutions. Low motivation can be solved by increasing the practice of communicating and learning independently. Differences in accents can be overcome by increased self-confidence. Lack of knowledge can be alleviated with guidance from more competent people.
