Abstract

Lailiyah, Isnaeni Alfi 2023. An Analysis of The Use of Infographics in Improving Students’ Self Confidence in Speaking Classes. A Graduating Paper, English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Miftachudin, M.A This research is about the use of the infographics in improving students’ self-confidence in speaking classes at MA Roudlotul Furqon Banyubiru. The objective of this research are (1) to know the use of the infographics in improving students’ self-confidence in speaking classes, and (2) to know the challenges of the use of the infographics in improving students’ self-confidence in speaking classes at MA Roudlotul Furqon Banyubiru. The method of this research was qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The subject in this research is the English teacher and the second grade of students at MA Roudlotul Furqon Banyubiru. The techniques of collecting data were standardized interview. The validity of data is the triangulation method. Practically the teacher carries out the use of the infographics for media learning according to the theory by paying attention to several important things. The use of the infographics in improving students’ self-confidence in speaking classes at MA Roudlotul Furqon Banyubiru includes the factors affect low students’ self-confidence in speaking in the class, the steps of using the infographics, the types of the infographics, the challenges of using the infographics, and the other activities that can improve students’ self-confidence in speaking besides infographics.
