The Effectiveness Of Canva Application In Improving Students’ Writing Skill In Greeting Card Material At The Eighth-Grade Students Of SMP N 4 Salatiga In The Academic Year Of 2022/2023. The study’s objectives were; (1) To discover students’ scores in writing greeting cards before being taught using the Canva Application at SMP N 4 Salatiga. (2) To discover students’ scores in writing greeting cards after being taught using the Canva Application at SMP N 4 Salatiga. (3) To analyze the effectiveness of using the Canva Application to teach greeting card material in writing class. This study was quasi-experimental. The data collection techniques were pre-test and post-test to determine the students’ writing skills. This research has two variables: Students' writing skill in writing greeting cards as independent variable and Canva Application as dependent variable. The population of this research is SMP N 4 Salatiga in the academic year 2022/2023. The samples were of 29 students. The researcher finds an improvement in using the Canva Application on students’ skills in writing greeting cards. The pre-test showed that the average score is 55.51, which indicates the need to develop skills in writing greeting cards. The post-test indicated an increase after being taught using the Canva Application because the average students’ post-test was 67.58. it can be seen that the class receives positive progress with a percentage increase of 21.7%. The researcher finds that using the Canva Application on students’ writing skills in greeting card material is effective. The T-test calculation is 0.00 < 0.05, which indicates a significant difference between students’ initial and final results. Moreover, from the calculation results, the t-test is 15. 765 > t table = 2.048, with (df) = 28, and = 0.05. So, H_0 is rejected while H_a is accepted. It can be concluded that the use of Canva Application is effective for students’ skill in writing greeting card material because of the results of the t-test > from the t-table.
