Abstract
The research implemented the Pictionary game to improve students' writing skills in the seventh-grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah Salatiga in the academic year 2023/2024. This research answered two questions: whether the implementation of Pictionary game improved the students' writing skills of the seventh-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Salatiga in the academic year 2023/2024, and to what extent the implementation of Pictionary game improved students' writing skills of the seventh-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Salatiga in the academic year 2023/2024. The material was writing descriptive text. The objects of this research were the students of the VII B class of SMP Muhammadiyah Salatiga, which consisted of 20 students. The methodology of this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was conducted in two cycles. There was planning, action, observation, and reflection in each cycle. Implementing the Pictionary game could improve students' writing skills. It can be seen from the percentage calculation of post-test in cycle 1 that there were 10% of students who passed the KKM. Moreover, in cycle 2, there were 85% of students that passed the minimum criteria (KKM).
