Counselor: Norwanto,S.Pd., M.Hum., Ph.D. Keywords: Teacher; Teaching; and Classroom Management The objectives of the study are (1) to find out various problems during class management and (2) to find out what teachers' strategies are for managing classes. This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Mungkid. This research is a case study of three English teachers. The data collection method used observation, interview. The data were analyzed by Miles and Huberman using interactive model. The data consists of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The results of the study show that the problem in the class management process are (1) Student misbehavior such as: playing with objects, a lack of motivation, bullying (2) Giving turn and wait time such as; students had difficulty answering questions, (3) Group work problem management such as; student’s not pay attention to teacher instructions. The teacher has a several ways to solve the classroom management problems such as, the teacher warned the students, the teacher helps student’s problem, and teachers gave consequences or additional assignments, the teacher asks the attention of students, provide problems that have the same level of difficulty to all students, convey simple question, teacher remind students to stay focused.
