Abstract

This study aims to determine how teachers perceive the use of technology and the role of technology in learning after the COVID-19 pandemic in SMK Perintis 29 Ungaran. The research methodology used qualitative research In obtaining data, the researcher used interview, observation, and documentation. Participants in this study were 2 English teachers. The research findings of this study were; 1) The teachers perceived that technology still needed in learning English in the post Covid-19 Pandemic. It influenced learning English outcomes. Students understood better to achieve learning objectives. Teaching was more practical, effective, and easier. Students are more interested, could find learning resources in accordance with the necessary. Using technology also had obstacles; the limited supporting facilities and infrastructure, the availability of internet network and signal. Students sometimes played games or using the social media platform. 2) Technology was important in learning after the COVID-19 pandemic in SMK Perintis 29 Ungaran. Learning process is more optimal. There were so many learning resources that can be accessed by using technology based on students’ need. Students learnt English virtually, especially in Vocational High Schools, learning was not only theoretical but related to their program of expertise. The use of technology was also arouse students' interest and didn’t get bored. The level of student focus was also better. They were more active and enthusiastic.
