Conselor: Dr. Ruwandi, S.Pd., M.A. The research objectives are: (1) To analyze a correlation between vocabulary mastery and speaking skills in ninth grade of SMPN 1 Salatiga. (2) To find a significant correlation between vocabulary mastery and speaking skills in the ninth grade of SMPN 1 Salatiga, the academic year 2023/2024. The research methodology involved data collection through tests and a scoring rubric for Speaking Skills. Statistical analysis, including Pearson's correlation, was used to examine the data. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and hypothesis testing to provide insight into the relationship between these two variables. The descriptive statistics highlight significant data distribution features for both vocabulary mastery and speaking abilities. With a mean score of 88.85, the data for students' vocabulary mastery ranged from a minimum score of 60.00 to a maximum score of 100.00. 17.3% of the data scored 90.00 or lower, and the cumulative percentage revealed that 92.7% of students scored 96.00 or lower. About 53.6% of students had a score of 90.00 or lower. According to this distribution, most students demonstrated intermediate to high levels.
