Abstract

The goals of the study are to find out the students' perception on the implementation of dictogloss to learn listening and to find out the advantages and disadvantages of using dictogloss. Researcher conducted observations and interviews with 20 respondents. This research used qualitative research. The results of doing observation and interviews researcher can concluded that the students' perspective on the use of dictogloss in learning English language skills is most students have a positive view of the dictogloss technique because it provides several benefits. Some disadvantages of using the dictogloss technique are that it requires continuous implementation and takes a long time to have a positive impact on students. The majority of the students' responses regarding dictogloss were positive since they found it to be an effective way of learning. Students and teachers collaborate to overcome the limitations of the dictogloss technique and make the most of it as a learning tool.
