Abstract

Afriyadi, Ageng (2024). The Use of Suggestopedia To Teach Vocabulary of The Third Grade Students of MI Ma’arif Jambu In the Academic Year Of 2023/2024. Graduating paper, English Education Faculty, Salatiga State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Dr. Hanung Triyoko, M.Hum, M.Ed. The objective in this research are to know the difference of students’ vocabulary mastery before and after they were taught using Suggestopedia of the third-grade students of MI Ma’arif Jambu in the academic year of 2023/2024 and to know how far is the significant difference of students’ vocabulary mastery before and after they were taught using Suggestopedia of the third-grade students of MI Ma’arif Jambu in the academic year of 2023/2024. The result shows that there is a difference in vocabulary mastery of the third-grade students of MI Ma’arif Jambu before and after they are taught by Suggestopedia. It can be seen from the results of the mean of the pre-test and the mean of the post-test of the students. The mean of the pre-test was 58.93, and the mean of the post-test was 74.8. This indicates that the post-test mean is greater than the pre-test mean. Also, there is a significant difference in vocabulary mastery of the third-grade students of MI Ma’arif Jambu before and after they are taught by Suggestopedia. It can be seen from the results of t count and t table. This suggests a significant difference between students' vocabulary mastery using the Suggestopedia method and students' vocabulary mastery without the Suggestopedia method. The effect size is categorized as modest, which signifies that while the improvement is significant, the magnitude of the effect is moderate. Key Words: Vocabulary, Suggestopedia
