Abstract

xi ABSTRACT Simtiana, Ela Fatma. (2021). An Analysis of English Teachers’ Strategies In Teaching Writing Through Online Learning at SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa in the Academic Year 2019/2020. A Graduating paper. English Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty. State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Miftachudin S.PdI, MA This study aims to analyze the English teachers‟ strategies in teaching writing through online learning. The aims of this research are (1) describing the teachers‟ strategies in teaching writing through online learning at SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa (2) describing the ways English teachers use the strategies in teaching writing through online learning at SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa. The subjects of this study are all English teachers at SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa and the basic data were taken from interviews. This research used qualitative method which used descriptive qualitative to analyze the data. After the researchers collected the data, the researcher found that the teachers‟ strategies in teaching writing at SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa used three different strategies, the strategies they use is Interactive Learning, Discovery Learning, and Imaginative Learning, and three ways English teachers use the strategies in teaching writing through online learning is to make the students more self- development, make the students more independent in learning, and make the students more direct to explore their imagination.
