Abstract

Fatahillah, Muhammad Syauqiy. 2024. CTL-Based Module Development of Procedure Text to Teach the Tenth Grade Students of Automotive Class at SMK Saraswati Salatiga 2024/2025. A Graduating paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Islamic State University of Salatiga. Counselor: Dr. Setia Rini, S.Pd., M.Pd. The objective of the study is to develop a CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) based module of procedure text, which has a correlation between English subject and automotive major. The module was made to teach tenth grade students of automotive class at SMK Saraswati Salatiga 2024/2025. The methodology of the research uses research and development by using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The sequences are, first, the analysis phase, where the researcher finds out the needs data for the students and teachers; second, the design phase, where the researcher makes a design framework for the module; third, the development phase, the researcher developing CTL-based material related to the CP (Capaian Pembelajaran) or TP (Tujuan Pembelajaran) and need analysis results; fourth, the implementation phase, the researcher implemented the module in the class then measured using pre-test and post-test; fifth, the evaluation phase, the researcher evaluates through revision in every phase. The data was collected through a questionnaire, pre-test, and post-test then processed using descriptive quantitative technique. The results of the research found that the module is valid according to design validators (95%) and material validators (89%). The module has an impact on the students, based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, the effectivity N-gain score is presumed to be medium significance (0.5553), and the treatment effectiveness is presumed as effective enough (55.5262%). The module’s practicality can be presumed to be practical both by teachers (90%) and students (81%). Keyword: ADDIE model, Module, Development, Automotive, CTL.
