Abstract

Social entrepreneurship with a tourism concept has become a growing trend in business today and contributes to domestic and national income. This sector promotes local communities’ social and economic development by harnessing existing potential, including natural resources (Ayinaddis, 2023). Social entrepreneurs focusing on eco-tourism can drive the development of rural areas in two ways: by creating employment opportunities for local communities and by ensuring sustainable social and environmental conservation (Kummitha et al., 2021). However, the limited literature on empowering local potentials, particularly in the ecological aspect, remains a significant obstacle to realizing more innovative social entrepreneurship (Firman et al., 2022; Vasilieva et al., 2022). Therefore, there is a need for a better understanding of how to shape standardized and sustainable social entrepreneurship to promote economic growth without neglecting the social and ecological impacts that may occur in the future
