Abstract
ABSTRACT Adila, M. D. (2024). The Effectiveness of Using Blooket Webgame As A Learning Medium for Students’ Vocabulary Mastery at Tenth Grade of SMK Muhammadiyah Salatiga In The Academic Year 2023/2024. A Graduating Paper. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. English Education Department. Salatiga State Islamic University. Counselor: Betari Irma Ghasani, M. Pd. The objectives of this research are to identify the profile of students’ vocabulary mastery before and after using Blooket Webgame, as well as the effectiveness of using the Blooket webgame as a learning medium for Students’ vocabulary mastery. This research used a true experimental design with a quantitative approach to analysis and data collection through tests and documentation. The subjects of this research were tenth grade students at SMK Muhammadiyah Salatiga for the academic year 2023/2024, with a sample size of 29 experimental class students and 30 control class students. Pre-test and post-test scores were analyzed to determine the impact of the Blooket webgame on vocabulary mastery. The findings indicated a significant improvement in the vocabulary mastery of the experimental group compared to the control group. The experimental group's average post-test score was 84.14, while the control group's average was 75.00. The t-test results obtained a significance value (2-tailed) <.001, which was smaller than 0.05 with a significance level of 5% according to the t-test table. These results suggested that the interactive and engaging features of the Blooket webgame effectively enhanced students' vocabulary mastery. Thus, it can be concluded that the Blooket webgame significantly enhanced the vocabulary mastery at tenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah Salatiga in the academic year 2023/2024.
