Abstract
Sa’adah Nurotus. 2024. Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) In Teaching Strategies Reading For Seventh Grades Students With Disabilities At Three SMPLB Salatiga And Semarang 2024 A Graduating Paper, English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Fakulty, State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga. Conselor: Dr. Setiya Rini, S.Pd., M.Pd. This research focuses on the implementation of English teaching strategies and how teachers teach reading skills in English teaching for students with special needs in grade 7 at SMPLB Salatiga and Semarang and how teachers teach reading skills in English teaching for students with special needs. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, conducted in three schools namely Bina Putra Salatiga SMPLB, Rumah Pintar Salatiga, Wahid Hasyim Bringin SMPLB by interviewing three English teachers in the seventh grade in each school. This research aims to find out how the implementation of English teaching strategies and how the teaching of English reading for students with disabilities seven grades in SMPLB. The results showed that among the three schools most of the students had mental disabilities and several different types of disabilities, so the strategies used also adapted to the needs of students and from the three schools the strategy that was often used was to use CTL in teaching English language was used by teachers to understand the vocabulary of students with special needs The teacher's strategy used flash card media to assist in the English learning process.
