Abstract
Setiawati, Dwi. 2024. “An Analysis of Students’ Anxiety in Writing Essay (Case Study of 6th Semester Of English Education Department Of UIN Salatiga)”. A Graduating Paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga. Counselor : Miftachudin. MA. The purpose of this research are (1) To identify what are the types of students’ anxiety in writing essay. (2) To describe what are the factors of students’ anxiety in writing essay. This research was conducted at UIN Salatiga. The subject of this research is 7 students’ from sixth semester of English education department in UIN Salatiga. The methodology of this research is qualitative descriptive. The data validity is the triangulation technique. Data were collected by interview and documentation. The researcher found that (1) there are three types of students’ anxiety in sixth semester of UIN Salatiga. (2) there are nine factors that causes the anxiety. This analysis highlights the importance of students’ anxiety in writing among EFL university learners. By addressing the types and the factors of students’ anxiety in writing, the educators can create a more supportive learning method and reducing the anxiety among the students especially in writing skills. Key words : Anxiety, Students Anxiety, Writing Anxiety, Writing Essay.
