Abstract

Firdaus, Imanuel. 2024. The Correlation between English Communication Intensity Using OME TV Application toward students Vocabulary Mastery. A Graduating Paper. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. English Education Department. Salatiga State Islamic University. Counselor: Miftachudin, M.A This research was conducted to find out the correlation of English communication intensity with vocabulary mastery using OME TV application. This research used a quantitative correlation method. This research was carried out in the Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Salatiga State Islamic University. The population in this research was 802 students and the samples were 84 students. In this research, data was collected using questionnaires and tests to measure the intensity of students' English communication and their mastery of English vocabulary using the OME TV application. Research findings reveal that the level of intensity of students' English communication is moderate with an average score of 60.03 which is included in the medium category. Then, students' English vocabulary mastery was classified as moderate with an average score of 61.85 which was included in the medium category. Researchers found a significant correlation between the intensity of students' English communication using the Ome TV application, namely 0.686. These findings found that there was a significant correlation between the intensity of students' English communication and increased vocabulary mastery using the OME TV application, with a positive correlation value. The statistical hypothesis answers that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results of this research hypothesis are Ha: The intensity of students' communication using the Ome TV application has a significant influence on increasing their mastery of English vocabulary.
